HOW TO ATTEND CHURCH ONLINE
We will have online worship this week again due to the social distancing because of the COVID19 crisis. You can find our online worship here:

Do you find it hard to worship as a church when we have to do it remotely? Pastor and missionary Steve Hoekstra shared with me some ideas for how we can improve our online worship experience. I adapted them for this post. See if they help you and your family:
- Get out of bed and get dressed. It will remind you of the priority of worship and help you have a worshipful mindset (Psalm 92:1-2).
- Gather your family together. Worship is a family activity (Psalm 78:3-5). Make your home your sanctuary.
- Project the feed on your largest screen. It will feel more like you are there.
- Sing along like you are there. Yes, it feels weird. It feels weird for the people that are leading the singing in an empty room also. Say Amen too, clap or shout, and praise God out loud (Psalm 95:1-2).
- Worship through giving. Not because the church “needs” it but because it is an act of worship and gratitude to God (2 Cor. 9:7-8).
- Lean into the message. No multi-tasking during home worship. Open your Bible and follow along with the readings and sermon (1 Tim. 4:13).
- Expect the Lord to show up. Expect God to be with those who are leading. Expect God to work through His church. Expect God to speak to you through His word by His Spirit (John 20:19-20).
